I agree completely. In my graduate technical writing program, we were
required to take 12 hours of graduate-level courses in the technical or
scientific field we wanted to work in. In my case, that meant 12 hours of
500-600 level courses in the Computer Science department. It was a rigorous
program and I am very happy it was.
