Harsh, maybe. Inappropriate, no. Not all
Journalism/English/non-techie majors fall into this
category. There are many who've made it a point to get
technical. Those who don't make the effort though are
really in no position to demand anything when it comes
to getting a job. These days employers are looking for
the techies. As was stated in an earlier thread, it's
not your writing knowledge that's attractive, but your
industry and technology knowledge that counts.
