Dan the technical writer studied the discussion list question. A fellow
writer wanted to know if anyone had a favorite book of tips on how to
create effective screenshots for software documentation.
With a sudden gasp, Dan could see his future. Instead of offering a
suggestion, he would be this author - he would write this book. Each day,
he would write two pages of serious, instructive prose. After finishing,
the manuscript would be snapped up by a publisher, and he would begin his
nationwide book tour. Besides the TV and radio interviews, he'd sign
autographs at bookstores. He could almost see the lineup of adoring fans
now.
Might as well start now! He began his outline:
I. Purchase SnagIt
II. Learn to Use SnagIt
III. Use SnagIt to Capture, Edit and Share Effective Screenshots
"I depend on SnagIt so much, I might have to list its name as co-author,"
Dan thought.
"That's all right," he conceded, "since I'm still the only one that can
give an autograph."
