My guess is that you changed a section on which a following section's header is defined.

For example, say sections 1 and 2 have FirstPage, EvenPage, and OddPage headers, and section 2's headers are all flagged as SameAsPrevious. If you then disable the DifferentFirstPage option for section 1, section 2 won't have a basis for its own FirstPageHeader.

I may have the details wrong, but a good diagnostic method is to make sure each section actually has at least three pages (temporarily inserting page breaks if you need to), then go through all the headers and footers checking for SameAsPrevious attributes to make sure they're correct for your own design. (There's no "right" or "wrong" way to use sections; you just need to understand how they work.)
