Try saving the file as an HTML file (do Save As, and then scroll down in the
"Save As Type" list box to find the HTML). Word should save each image to a
separate file in the same folder as the resulting .HTM file. (Caveat: When I
tried this, I got GIFs for my screenshots, which is great for screenshots and
similar images, but not for photographs. I don't know whether Word can recognize
photographic images and save them as JPGs.)
Also, if buying a new keyboard isn't feasible at the moment, you can probably
work around the question-mark problem by holding down Alt and typing 063 on the
numeric keypad.

Christine
