Eva <Eva -dot- Barnett -at- aketontechnologies -dot- com> wonders why "starting up a fresh
[PowerPoint] presentation, then inserting the info into new slides" is a good
idea.
PowerPoint, like other Microsoft Office applications, is afflicted with--er,
has the "fast save" feature. Every time you save the presentation, a set of
differences is written at the end. If you edit the presentation heavily, the
list grows long. Saving the presentation under another name (which forces a
clean write), inserting slides into a new presentation, or deselecting "Allow
Fast Save" would all be ways of avoiding this issue.
