I've been following the other thread on breaking into the tech writing
market, and I understand that it's certainly grim. I was recently laid
off from an IT position, and am looking to differentiate myself from the
crowd, either as an IT geek with good documentation abilities, or someone
who can write and has a solid technical background (Both in IT and in
avionics.)
I've told the pimps and slave traders that I'm interested in more than
just pure IT, that if tech writing should come their way, I'm definitely
interested in that as an option.
