It took more work to type your posting than it would have to run your own
google search. Now you'll expend still more energy dealing with the flames.
As a tech writer in a dev environment, I live by getting all the information
I can on my own from tech notes, design docs, bug reports and release notes.
If I had to stop an engineer every time I had a little question, I would
soon be on the unemployment line for dragging down productivity.
Working smart is not getting someone else to do your homework. Your concept
of reinventing the wheel is also due for review.
