That depends on the context. If your text is in a table cell, the text wrap won't change at all. If your text is in a paragraph, you can quite easily wind up with a stray punctuation mark at the beginnning of a line. Now, how that glitch affects nonbreaking spaces, I'm not sure. The original poster might want to open the RTF file in a text editor and make sure that the correct character is actually being inserted in the RTF code.
