I'm going to go out on a limb and make an assumption about this whole
Posada vs. grammar issue.

John is a good writer, based on all I've seen from him over the years. So
when he says he puts grammar at number 6 on his list, and by his own
admission doesn't always make it past numbers 3 or 4, I really doubt that
the untended sentences are complete gibberish.

John, correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't you talking about subtle stuff,
where the clarity of the message is not at stake? Things like this:

"Make sure each of the icons are visible on your screen."

Yes, the verb should be "is," not "are." And the sentence could be better
written. But realistically, nobody is going to misunderstand the sentence.

I can forgive this sort of thing when the clock is ticking. No problem.

But if you write "Make each sure of the icons are visible the on screen"
then I have a problem. But like I said, I really doubt that's what he's
doing.

John? Correct wrong if I'm me...
