This is going to sound off-the-wall, but it worked for me back in 98-99....
You know those static ads that movie theatres show before a film? The "Ten
percent off an appetizer with your ticket stub at TGIF!" or the "Why not
stop for pizza at Andorino's after the film?"? They run them over and over
and over here in northern California. In 98 I was between contracts, and I
spent about $200 for an advert at two local theatres here in Telecom Valley.
It ran for about a month and I got a couple of short contracts out of it,
but about half-a-dozen calls about possible work.
