There's a world of difference between boredom and burnout.

boredom: Isn't it time to go home yet? Man, time is moving slowly and the Internet just isn't interesting any more
burnout: Isn't it time to go home yet? I hate this *#@& job.

Can boredom lead to burnout? mmmm I don't know. My sense of burnout, having gone through it in a previous job, was that you get overloaded with too much stuff and you just don't want to, or can't, deal with it all any more. What leads to it can vary, and is basically, IMHO, caused by the things that typically push a person's buttons...over and over and over and over again. If boredom is one of those things, then, yeah, I guess you could burnout because of it, but it's not my thing. A little bit of boredom would be nice, what with two kids, a mortgage, a series of docs to complete, a web site I would like to improve and a car in need of $2700 worth of repairs. :-) How's that commercial go....something about "the speed of life." hehehe
