Unfortunately, she now has to go back to her code, make the changes, and retest...about a day's work.

Reminds me of a job interview that I had a few years ago. A private social services agency had, in two years, gone from one IT person to developing their own software. The interviewer wanted to know how to stop having so many copies of documents out there. Just the Friday before, a tester had finished two days of testing using the wrong version of the testing documents. I asked why they didn't just have one set of documents secured by VSS. The interviewer (she was the lead for the project) was shocked. "You can do that?"

I didn't get the job, though, because she thought Microsoft Project was the greatest invention since sliced bread and I thought otherwise...
