That's interesting (about earning the respect of the devteam first, then the respect trickling down.........trickle-down respectonomics anyone?) So, in your case, the devteam seems to be the major player in the respect game. mmmm, what about other technical writers? I mean, who seems to be the key people to please? I know this will change from company to company, heck even year to year if employee turnover is high. I'm just curious. I find this whole issue of respect interesting. I find the politics of it, while annoying, also quite fascinating and I'm thinking about it in a "hey, I want to study this issue" sort of way. :-) Darnit, you can take the anthropology student out of the university, but you can't take anthropology out of the student. hehe
