An engineer I know commented:

"I think that a lot of those 'programmers' during the boom merely walked
past a computer slowly before touting themselves as experienced keyboard
[jockeys]. I exaggerate, of course, but the point is that a lot of
'programmers' didn't have the skills and yet they still put their resumes
out, flooding the market and burying real programmer resumes in the slush
pile."

Sounds familiar...
