My first thought, well, my first polite thought is to say "How do I keep
this from happening again?"

I had a similar experience with a fellow 'writer.' She asked me to make
suggestions/redlines to her document, so I did. I spent several hours
outlining information to be filled in, where she could go to get the
information, what the house styles were and so forth.

The next day I gave her the redlines and she said "Oh, I worked on it at
home last night, and made some changes, and I don't understand the track
changes thing...so don't worry about it."

yeah...she is at home right now too, but not working. You get what you
give.
