capitalization of proper names

If I'm writing about something whose proper name is all lower case (or
begins with a lower case letter), I do my best to rewrite sentences so
that the proper name never appears as the first word. In fact, this is
what the Microsoft Manual of Style recommends (if you care):

Write sentences to avoid the use of a case-sensitive lowercase word at
the beginning
