A little late posting to this string, but I was on vacation in Montana. I
have been a member of STC for three years, and I have no complaints with
STC. Besides receiving the monthly Intercom magazine and the quarterly Tech
Comm, members also have access to previous issues. I have used the online
database numerous times and refer to my hard copies on a regular basis.

Now, not everything I refer to is what I am looking for, but I take what I
need. Besides the main STC, there a several Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
that cater to your specific interest(s). There are also local chapters in
your area that hold meetings for networking and concepts within our field.

I am not offended by the comment regarding whether or not STC has any value.
I personally think it does have merit, where in another string regarding
unionizing, I do not think there is any reason whatsoever to unionize. Isn't
there already enough bureaucracy without adding more levels?

Kelly
