RE: Description of Tech Writers

Hi,

Since I've posted without introducing myself first, I
will add my introduction now.

I'm a (newly hired) full time Technical Writer (other
titles to be named at a later date) for a small
company (in San Diego) that develops embedded Ethernet
devices. My backgound is in Software Quality Assurance
and (Linux) Build Configuration and Release. Once I
automated these processes (in the now defunct dot coms
that I worked at), I became their Technical Writer (as
I was the only one who documented anything useful).
So, please be gentle with me.
