Perhaps. Perhaps not. Chances are that 100 years from now, people will be
quoting Hemingway more often than they will be quoting me. Of course that is
a bit mis-leading - people will be quoting Hemingway for more reasons than
just his taste for hot lead.
Likewise, his suicide was a culmination of his self-destructive nature, not
because he didn't wear a magnetic id card on a lanyard (I think). Of course,
this statement ties into the other conversation regarding "assumptions".
Then again, choosing to wear magnetic id cards on lanyards and sitting in
cubicles may just be our method of living a self-destructive life.
