Re: Newbie contractor question re: Scope of Agreement or Letter of Intent?

I work for a big-company government contractor, and believe me, "changing,
dynamic" requirements are a fact of life here just as they were at my
previous job (small telecommunications company--and no, I didn't get laid
off, I decided to bail before they figured out that they didn't need me
full time--I do contract work for them now). My manager's only expectation
is that I get the work done on time, to spec, and that I tell him in good
time if I cannot do this so he can get me some help.

Main difference is that the documents here are MUCH longer, and people
actually read (and follow) them. And we have a defined and required user
validation/verification process. Oh, and I get paid overtime.
