Here's the thing. When the deadline comes up, there is usually something to
deliver. A help system that is maybe missing some of the planned topics. A
book that is shorter than planned. Whatever.

So, it is easy to not miss deadlines. (Heck, you can simply change a
version number in the manual for the previous version to not miss a
deadline.)

The hard part is not missing the deadline AND delivering what you agreed to
in the first place. 8-)
