For those who don't follow American sports, Will McDonough was a Boston
sports reporter and broadcaster who became a local and then national
figure. He died this week at age 67.

I find a story he related to a colleague very a propos to Tech Writing:
McDonough's editor once asked him to "beef up his prose." He shot back,
"what do you want? adjectives or information?"
