Dick Margulis has requested that I clarify my response to his posting.
He feels that I implied that he was offering tax advice.

I want to make it clear that no such implication was intended. If in any
manner I implied that Dick was giving advice, I apologize.

Both Dick and I are passing on information that may be helpful to
someone on the list.
My intended point was that there is a way of minimizing any tax
consequences from switching from independent contractor to employee mid
year. You should consult a competent tax advisor for more information.
