On the TECHWR-L site, you'll find an article called
"Working Internationally: Thoughts and Advice" at
http://www.raycomm.com/techwhirl/employmentarticles/workinginternationally.html

The author, Emily Cotlier, is an American technical writer
working in New Zealand; she offers advice on finding technical
writing jobs abroad, setting your own expectations for the new
work environment, and getting involved in the new culture and
land.

Hope this helps...and good luck!
Deborah
