Dan, thanks very much for posting this. We're in the
final throes of a two-year upgrade of our style guide
so this was really timely and we could definitely use
the laugh.

And for the rest of you who have commented in this thread,
I agree that probably all of our work contains inconsistencies, sometimes probably glaring ones. But if Dan's post had been
about my work, I don't think I'd have taken it as a slam: his
tone was not critical, just wryly amused.
