I actually give presentations about the instruction manual to a Service/Test training class. I present them with both the online manual and the hardcopy manual.
I then show them all the features of the online manual, index, search, favorite, boolean searches, popups, etc. They I show them how the hardcopy is the same info in a different way we go over TOC and index.
They I ask them what they need the most... where it is, if I have it. Ask them what they would like, what they don't like.
