I would add that I believe the EMF (moreso WMF) formats are very loosely
defined, such that there can be significant differences between filters.
And, in general, I have not enjoyed exporting from Visio, it's filters
for anything seem poorly done. I prefer drawing in CorelDRAW or
Illustrator. I don't usually--seldom except when going to the Web
because am not requiring an SVG plug-in, yet--rasterize my vectors, as
PNG or anything else.
As soon as FM supports SVG correctly, I'll start using SVG for the Web.
I've had good success in exporting line drawings as PNGs from CorelDRAW.
However, CorelDRAW isn't the package in question. It's Visio.
For what I've seen and experienced, exporting in any format from Visio
should be approached with caution. Until its export filters improve, I
suggest importing graphic objects in the native Visio format if you can.
That's saying a whole lot, considering that I dislike importing such
objects
into my documents and I routinely invent tricks to put graphics into
more
conventional and portable formats.
