I find it very handy to use in online discussions, where poor rhetors or the
loss of context caused by quote trimming can give the appearance of ad
hominem attacks. In many places the signal-to-noise ratio is pretty poor, so
I'll do a little to help out.

I'd also just really rather not deal with most of the bickering that online
discussions can become, so I'm willing to appear a little staid to avoid it.
And, hey, I like it and would be happy if it became popular again.
