My index held a mystery:
The entry for page 2 said "3."
My misstep? Turn "Track Changes" on.
And now it's spoofed by stuff that's gone.
It harbored text that wasn't there;
A single screenshot was a pair.
The more I tried to cut thing out,
The more deletions lay about.
It changed my styles to something new
And turned the text in tables blue.
I've had to save as ASCII text;
I'll need to find a keypunch next.
I know these measures seem absurd,
But that's my quandary. I HATE WORD.
