I liked last night's news regarding the new "mystery illness." (I can't remember which network...)

Symptoms of the illness
* fever of 101+
* uncontrollable coughing
* respiratory distress
* <other disease symptoms>
* travel to Asia

Be forewarned! Considering it's a "symptom" (and not a "risk factor"), if people you know are packing up and traveling to Asia, they just might have the mystery illness!

To relate this to your request for samples, I think you could find a treasure trove of bad writing related to current events (e.g., chem/bio attack preparedness, the mystery illness, what-do-to-when-the-bomb-drops guidelines).
