I would like to know if there were any research done or any quota available
on how many techwriters "per developper" there are supposed to be?
I heard it is close to be 1 techwriter per 5 or 10 developers. What do you
think?

It seems impossible to give general numbers for the ratio of writers to developers - too much depends on the individual circumstances, and appropriate numbers can vary quite wildly.

This discussion resurfaces from time to time; you may want to search the archives for more thoughts on this subject.
