That whole process is a joke in and of itself. Of course that's just my

::: he or she brings new perspectives. Ask me on alternate
::: days, and you'll get different answers about which is better.
I haven't heard too many calls from the defense industry for writers with a
fresh perspective. Usually they want someone who knows what to aim for in a
doc deliverable for their needs out of the gate... Then again I only know
about a half-dozen or so writers in the defense industry (more in the
mech/sci roles), so my perspective could be skewed...
