Mayur,

You can also use to global update option from the paragraph designer to change all paragraph tags from one to another throughout the whole document in one command.

Click on the paragraph you want to change. Apply the desired paragraph tag format. Open the paragraph designer and click on the Commands button on the lower left. Select Global Update Options . . . Select all properties and All tagged from the Global update options dialog box. In the drop down box, select the paragraph tag you wish to change. If it is not included in the paragraph catalog, you may type the name. Be aware that it is case (and space) sensitive. Select update. You will get a alert that will have you confirm that you want to change all of the paragraph tags from the old one to the new one. It will say "Change all Heading2 tags to Heading3" or something like that. Click OK to continue.

Hello Mayur:

Yes, this is possible to change a particular FrameMaker paragraph style to
another in a document using the Find/Change option.

In the FrameMaker "Find" you select "Paragraph Tag" and type the name of the
format that you want to locate and then get rid of.

In the "Change" you select "By Pasting". Then, in order to be able to Paste
the replacement (change to) paragraph format, click in a paragraph that is
tagged with that format and do Edit > Copy Special > Paragraph Format.

(Be careful not to Copy Special a Paragraph Format that has an override--an
asterisk next to its name.)

Then do your finding, and click Change to ensure it is working properly.
Once it is working properly -- I usually check the first 2-3 instances --
you can do a Change All through a book or document.

Good luck,

Kay
