Yes, by and large, it IS the employers to blame. It's a tight job market.
People are desperate for jobs. An employer has an available position, knows
there are a BUNCH of very qualified candidates for the position who are
desperate enough to work for an insulting salary and few benefits. Said
candidates have these nasty addictions to support: clothing, food, shelter,
children.... so they take the job at the lousy salary and bad bennies.

Eventually the market gets better, salaries go up, at least to better than
what the exploited - and thoroughly resentful employee is getting, exploited
and resentful employee finds a better job and leaves. Yes, it IS the money,
Stupid.

Employers tend to demand loyalty, but God forbid they should extend any of
it to the people working for them.
