Well, there are people working on magnetic and electro-static
"touch fasteners", as well as re-usable adhesive fasteners (akin
to the 3M Post-It adhesive, except a little stronger... This
suggests that the hook-and-loop qualifier is still needed.
One's the noun-phrase "touch fastener"; the other is an
adjective phrase "hook-and-loop" needed to precisely qualify
the generic noun... with the even more specific qualifier
Velcro being what VELCRO corp would LIKE to see you using
in front of all the other verbiage.

(Except, it can't really be "VERBiage" without any verbs,
can it??)

/kevin (grasping, but not hooking... or looping)
