I seem not to have gotten the predecessor messages in this thread, but let me jump in here, anyway.
You cannot print a PDF "to file" if it is protected. The PDF is encrypted and unless you illegally crack it, you just have to accept the restrictions.
Your two choices are: (1) do a screen capture, print that to a file, and use the Capture plug-in to try to convert it back to text; or (2) contact the document owner and request an unprotected copy of the PDF.
