IIRC you have offered excellent advice in the past to
others who posted similar tales.

I like your response. I've suggested this approach
before in this space.

you *don't* verify all the information because (a) you
don't have the resources for the volume of work, and
(b) the team isn't 100% supportive of your efforts and
is failing to engage with you.

I agree with your sentiment but pragmatically, in
business that position is widely considered to be a
Bad Attitude. Although I often have the same thoughts,
I try to keep them to myself. Can't always do it,
though.
