I was one with 10 posts in 1 week, which is only slightly above 1 a day. However, I would be much more severely limited in posting by the one a day limit than one might suppose by the numbers. This is because of the nature of my job. When I am engaged in the Requirements gathering cycle, I am too busy sometimes to even read the list, let alone post. In the "in between" times, when I am updating old documents and the portal, I have more time to read and post to those threads that I care about.

If there were to be a one-a-day limit, I would not be able to really participate in the list through posting. I would most likely drop out and probably just use the archives if I had a question. I can only keep a couple of pertinent lists going at a time in this job so I would sacrifice Techwr-l so I could read American Dialect Society or some other list I don't currently have the luxury of reading.

I realize my presence or lack of presence isn't that important to the list as a whole. But I am a "medium" numbers person, neither so small that I wouldn't be affected (not in the 93%) or so large that I would seem to be severely affected, and I wanted to illustrate how the limits might affect someone like me.
