Snagit is the most versatile tool I know of for screen captures and I'm
spitting S***T that we can't have it at my company (IT bought something else
without asking around first - thanks guys).

As for resizing graphics, believe it or not, I can't find anything better
(for free) than Word. From what I understand, if you paste a picture into
Word it goes in as a WMF. These scale really well and show no discernable
drop in quality.

Our standard method of dealing with graphics is to:
Paste into a blank word doc,
Scale to size using either the drag feature or, by typing in a size
(following a left click - format etc)
Ensure your Word zoom is at 100%
Screen grab using Paint Shop Pro (not the rubbish IT got us) set at 96dpi to
match Word
Export/optimise from PSP as required as a jpg/Gif
