I still stand by my assertion. You lose advantage one as soon as your
system/implementation is large enough that any changes will cost too much
to migrate legacy data and/or it costs too much to migrate interconnected
systems.

As for number three. Phh. 'Little' effort? Depends on how
small/insignificant your implementation/system is. As soon as you system
is significant, the effort to change it becomes significant.

Rubbish. Whether you embrace open-source software or not, it takes time
and effort to develop, maintain, and improve/modify a system. As soon as
that system is significantly complex and/or large, the costs and effort
become significant regardless of what kind of software your using.

Consultants setting up open-source software solutions cost as much as
consultants setting up commercial packaged solutions. Indeed the
open-source solution may be far more expensive considering you may have to
support development costs in uncharted territory.
