I'm agnostic on the Master Document feature of Word, because I've never had to touch it. And, in
general, I'm of the persuasion that "it's a poor workman who blames his tools."

But the notion that there is pain along the learning curve with any tool is problematic. You really
want to avoid pain when you are learning to use a chainsaw, because pain can be an indicator of a
serious problem. I think that may be what the folks have in mind when they warn us to stay away from
Master Documents. Read the safety precautions before you pull the starter cord.
