TechWhirl (TECHWR-L) is a resource for technical writing and technical communications professionals of all experience levels and in all industries to share their experiences and acquire information.
For two decades, technical communicators have turned to TechWhirl to ask and answer questions about the always-changing world of technical communications, such as tools, skills, career paths, methodologies, and emerging industries. The TechWhirl Archives and magazine, created for, by and about technical writers, offer a wealth of knowledge to everyone with an interest in any aspect of technical communications.
Are you using WWP 2003? That has a context-sensitivity
testing utility built in. I haven't had 100% reliable
results with it, but it does work correctly most of
the time (in my experience, it either works correctly
or doesn't work at all, depending on my computer's
mood so it seems...)
Otherwise, have you installed the app you're providing
Help for and tested the links in that? I've found that
to be the best means of testing by far. It might
require more effort, but in the end, if it doesn't
work in the app, seeing it work in a testing utility
is pointless.
