Here's the article in the Portland newspaper:

These articles are appearing in local newspapers all
over the US. I think they use a template for them.

I saw the first article like this three years ago in
my local paper. It featured a technical writer too,
and also named the number of writers in the state. The
article has since dropped off the Internet, though.
