Tech writers on-list were bemaonin'
Poor use of the dread semicolon,
And shunning their inclusion,
To prevent user confusion,
And keep their readers from zonin'

And the colon came in for it too,
From the people who say "It's taboo",
To use complex punctuation,
In a less-than-erudite nation,
It's a mark that we all must eschew.

Into this mix soon was tossed,
Ethics, that folks may have lost,
(Or may have simply misplaced...
Whatever may be the case-
Or perhaps they have too high a cost?)

Which quickly was transmuted into,
A thread on the worst interview,
Where some company hack,
With a heart, darkest black,
Lied about pay and stock options, too!

And so the threads keep going 'round,
With issues we've run into the ground,
'bout the best this or that,
(Should I wear a purple cravat?)
And answers nowhere to be found.

But don't look at this limerick askance,
You should give my poor poems a chance,
An idea I offer directly:
I think you have guessed it correctly,
It all depends on your audience!

Happy... Thursday? :-)

Dan
