Hi, everybody. I've searched the archives and the Web, and I can't find
the specific answer I need. I'm hoping you can help.

We have an HTML page and a PDF file that are installed on our users' local
computers with our software. The HTML file links to the PDF using the
following tag: <A HREF="file.pdf">. However, when users click the link, the PDF file doesn't
open. In fact, nothing happens. Right-clicking the link and saving the
target works.

When we place the HTML page and PDF file on one of our servers, the link
works just fine, and the PDF opens.

Is there a limitation in IE that prevents opening local PDF files? Is this
a security feature? Is there a way to tag around this?

Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance!
Lonnye
