You accomplish the same effect by using a condition. The savings is that you
don't have to go back and reapply a particular paragraph tag (unstructured)
or element (structured). All you need to do is delete the condition and save
the text.

I create a paragraph and character tag named COMMENT, with attributes
that distinguish the text from your other information (such as larger
font, in SMALL CAPS, red type, ...). If I have a question or want to
flag an issue for reviewers, I can then just apply this COMMENT
tag---either to the whole para or portion thereof, as appropriate. When
it gets resolved, I apply whatever tag it is supposed to have and the
special formatting is removed automatically. Typically I use my COMMENT
tags to embed a question or highlight an issue to reviewers, so [THERE
MIGHT BE TEXT LIKE THIS EITHER AS A PARAGRAPH OR WITHIN A PARAGRAPH TO
CATCH THEIR ATTENTION...YAH, LIKE SHOUTING ;-]. You can search for
specific paragraph and character tags to make sure they are all out
before you publish.

*I just got thrown into a FrameMaker-based project, and haven't
*used Frame in several years. I want to flag certain portions
*of text in a document for the attention of other
*collaborators. In Word I'm accustomed to highlighting sections
*of text for later scrutiny, to make those sections very
*noticeable. Before publishing, I do a search for any
*highlighted text, to make sure I've resolved any questionable sections.
*
*What's a good way to mark text in Frame, with some blatant
*indication that a sentence or section needs to be reviewed?
*
*Sorry for the newbie question, but apparently I've purged most
*of my Frame knowledge from the RAM of my tiny mind. Thanks!
