Nobody understands what we do!
We're certainly feeling quite blue.
Sure that nobody cares,
Or will buy our wares,
And jobs out there are too few!

Jobs moving offshore make us groan,
And the economy causes a moan,
As we're filled with self-pity,
Things sure don't look pretty.
The future for all is unknown.

But self-esteem to ourselves we imbue,
Keep in mind the tech writer's fair due:
Being a writer's no curse,
Want to know what is worse?
To be fillers of eclairs with goo!

Happy Friday!

Dan

While this post offers a rare look inside Gooberworld, it seems like your
basic complaints are the same that any tech writer encounters:

Nobody understands what we do.
Nobody cares.
Hiring practices aren't fair or objective.
People can get hired or passed over based on dubious criteria.
Reality bites.

The world needs tech writers, plumbers, highway engineers, and people who
put the goo inside eclairs.
