While I've not wanted to wait for overseas shipping (or pay overseas
shipping costs, assuming both come into play when ordering from overseas
sites), I havne't bought a textbook for classes in a school bookstore in
quite some time.

I don't work for either place, so I'll just recommend bestbookbuys.com as a
lace to start a search. I end up buying almost all my technical books at
bookpool.com, where I save an average of 1/3 off the cover price.

For a design class a couple of years ago, I found the text on half.com very
cheaply. I made the purchase, and in the ensuing email exchange between me
and the buyer, we discovered that he lived nearby, and so he just brought
the book by one evening when he was traveling through the neighborhood.
