Examples of how I use hyphen (-), en dash (--) and em dash (---).

* back-and-forth

* Arguing with your boss -- how to lose graciously

* Our new national energy conservation policy---Keeping Our Employees in the Dark---will be implemented on December 23, 2003.

I do have a copy of CMS 14 but it's at home holding up a corner of my dining table.

Any of you using regular hyphens where en dashes
should be used (for example, as called for by Chicago
14)?

Ditto em dashes.

And, what is left for regular keyboard hyphens?
